In search of the lost scents
Echoing the Proustian quest for lost time, these flowers superimposed on ruins and death caused by hate are a timeless symbol of life and beauty. Their frailty, in contrast with the brutality of the chaotic events of our time, harks back to Pascal’s image of the ‘thinking reed’ whose ‘Jupiterian verticality’ is drawn from its thought.
